About Dr. Heinz

Stefan Heinz joined ÃÛÑ¿TV faculty in 2004. He came to the University of Wyoming from the Technical University Munich, Germany.

His research interests are in mathematical modeling, multiscale processes, stochastic analysis, Monte Carlo simulations, computational fluid dynamics, turbulence, combustion, and multiphase flows. He has authored about 150 publications and published two textbooks (Springer, 2003 and 2011). For more than twenty years, he has taught a variety of courses: calculus, probability, ordinary, partial, and stochastic differential equations, applied mathematics, deterministic and stochastic mathematical modeling, and machine learning. He has held visiting professor appointments at several universities and institutes. He won several teaching and research awards, he was honored as Adjunct Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Adjunct Professor of Civil & Architectural Engineering, and Adjunct Professor of the School of Computing at ÃÛÑ¿TV. He is a fellow of the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg (Institute for Advanced Study, Delmenhorst) in Germany and an .
