About Dr. Robinson
Tim has been married to his wife for 27 years and they have raised four children in Laramie. His statistical expertise is in data science, hierarchical regression modeling, sampling design, experimental design, statistics and data science education and applications in ecology, medicine, and sport. He has been fortunate to work with collaborators in a variety of fields and these collaborations have led to his nearly 75 peer reviewed publications. He is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association and the American Society for Quality. In June, 2025, he received a Fulbright Award to work with the University of Zambia School of Medicine on data science and biostatistics curriculum development, statistical consulting, a World Bank proposal for the advancement of data science and biostatistics in Sub-Saharan Africa. From 2013-2021, Tim served as the Foundations Dean for the Wyoming WWAMI Medical Education Program where he and his team guided Wyoming WWAMI through the most significant curriculum overhaul in the 79 year history of the University of Washington School of Medicine. In addition to his academic appointment at ĂÛŃżTV, Tim also has appointments with the University of Washington School of Medicine and the University of Zambia School of Medicine. To date, he has been fortunate to have mentored over 30 PhD and MS projects. Outside of statistics, Tim enjoys teaching apologetics (explaining what Christians believe; defending Christian beliefs against objections and misunderstandings; and showing why faith in Jesus is relevant and trustworthy), spending time with family and friends, elk hunting and fishing.
