Learn More about Lighthouse

UW has received a discretionary allocation of computational resources through ALCF to support University of Wyoming researchers who would like to try out Argonne National Lab's for their work.

Should you consider an account?

The University of Wyoming Lighthouse allocation is intended to serve as an on-ramp for researchers at UW who would like to test and experiment using Argonne National Lab computing resources.  Utilization of resources through Lighthouse would also help prepare researchers for their own major allocation awards through Dept. of Energy's  and  award programs.

Best fit for:

ALCF Resources are ideal for ARCC users who need to scale beyond what is often available on the ARCC's Medicinebow cluster, or those who need access to specialty AI accelerators available through their ALCF's .

What's available to UW ALCF Users?

Lighthouse-UWyoming project members are granted access to the associated allocation through which they can access .  This includes available allocated compute time and allocated storage space.

The Lighthouse allocation is a shared allocation with a renewable amount of node hours and storage on all . The Lighthouse allocation is meant for Wyoming researchers looking to get on ALCF machines to test and port their code before requesting their own discretionary ALCF allocation.
