Stethophyma gracile (Scudder)
Stethophyma gracile is restricted to moist forested meadows in Wyoming. In addition to our record from
Crook County, this species has been reported from Yellowstone National Park. It is
assumed that eggs overwinter in the soil. Our collection on July 18, 1991, is composed
of mature nymphs and adults. Its feeding habits in Wyoming are not known. Because
of limited suitable habitat and scarcity, it is not a pest in this state.
