Grasshoppers of Wyoming and the West
Entomology
Trimerotropis agrestis McNeill

Trimerotropis agrestis occurs on sand dunes and sandhills in Wyoming east of Rawlins. West of Rawlins it
is replaced by the related T. barnumi. It prefers barren sand with sparse grasses or forbs. Eggs overwinter in the soil.
Adults were collected from mid August to mid November. Its feeding habits are not
reported in Wyoming but because of limited habitat and scarcity it is not considered
a pest.
