MEthods
During advising meetings, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss your coursework—both how individual classes are going and how they fit into your overall degree audit and graduation plan. In addition to academic planning, your advisor can provide support with your professional development, including: feedback on your résumé, cover letter, profile, and account.
One of SER’s key goals is to help students secure internships during their sophomore through senior years. Your advisor will also share information about scholarship opportunities, both within ĂŰŃżTV and through external sources.
Your Credential + Your Advisor
Students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Energy Resource Management and Development (ERMD) must select one of two concentrations: Professional Land Management (PLM) or Energy and Environmental Systems (EES). Some students may also choose to participate in the 3+3 QuickStart program, an option within both concentrations that leads to a combined bachelor's and Juris Doctor degree within six years rather than the traditional seven.
Academic advising for ERMD majors is provided by all advisors within the Academic Program, depending on your class year and academic pathway.
Students pursuing the Land Administration Certificate through SER should meet with Heather. Heather also advises students enrolled in the Energy Resource Management minor.
If you're unsure whom to contact, feel free to reach out to the Academic Team for guidance.
